Dobrock Champion and winner of the qualification round at the German Championships
With eleven victories alone, including defending his title at the prestigious Dobrock Championships (9.2) and winning the qualification round at the German Championships (8.8), Meganus PS continued his previous successes on the show jumping courses in 2022 in a spectacular manner with his trainer Patrick Stühlmeyer. In 2021, he won both qualification classes at the German Championships for five-year-olds (9.2 and 9.5), won the 14th Dobrock Championships (9.0) and was unbeatable in eight other young show jumping horse competitions. Meganus PS impresses with his boundless jumping talent and a sensational and rare bloodline.



His sire Messenger is the only licensed son of Montender/Marco Kutscher/GER, individual and team bronze medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens/GRE, placed sixth in the World Cup of Milano/ITA in 2004 and double European Champion in San Patrignano/ITA in 2005. At his stallion performance test, he was awarded the score of 10 for his jumping abilities. In 2014, with Florian Meyer zu Hartum, Messenger became the Vice Champion of seven-year-old show jumping horses in Warendorf, after he was already placed in the finals of the German Championships. He then recorded his first international successes. In 2015 and 2016, he won, with different riders each time, the Redefin CSI3* Championships. In 2017, with Philip Rüping, he finished second in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden/GER and was highly placed in Calgary/CAN, Arezzo/ITA and again in Redefin. Since then, Messenger has been based in the USA. His oldest offspring are successful in 1.60m show jumping competitions, including Dessenger/Philipe Rozier/FRA, Marilyn/Daniel Bluman/ISR, Miss Aragona PS/William Whitaker/GBR and Mahony/Philipp Schulze Topphoff/GER.



His dam Whizz Kid produced numerous top show jumping horses when crossed with Chacco-Blue. Casquo Blue/Harry Charles/GBR was placed second in 2022 in the show jumping World Cup in La Coruna/ESP, after being part of the fourth-placed Swedish team at the European Championships in 2021 with Douglas Lindelöw. H5 Chaganus/Eduardo Pereira de Menezes/BRA came second in the Grand Prix in Brussels/BEL in 2022. Chataga/Alejando Mills/MEX and Chacco’s Kid/Zoltán Lázár Jun./HUN were successful in international 1.50m and 1.40m show jumping competitions respectively. Messi’s Whizz Kid PS, Meganus PS’s seven-year-old full brother, was successful in the international Youngster Tour in 2022 with Pedro de Andrade Costa/BRA.



Carthago, who appears in the second generation, took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta/USA and Sydney/AUS with Jos Lansink/BEL. He also won the Nations Cups in Aachen, Rotterdam/NED and La Baule/FRA and is considered one of the most influential sons of Capitol I in breeding.



His grand-dam Gastona produced the licensed stallion Chacgrano (by Chacco-Blue; 1.60m show jumping)/Patrick Stühlmeyer/GER as well as the 1.60m show jumping horses Calasko Z (by Calvaro Z)/Manuel Sanderos/MEX and Colasko (by Colman)/Nicolas Pizarro/MEX. Also internationally successful are Balouboy (by Baloubet du Rouet, 1.40m show jumping), Polasko (by Polytraum, 1.50m show jumping), Casanova (by Carthago, 1.45m show jumping), Calvogran (by Calvaro Z, 1.45m show jumping) and Caltona (by Calvaro Z, 1.45m show jumping).



The performance sires Grannus and Wohlgemuth appear in the third and fourth generations of his pedigree.



His great-grand-dam Walaska produced Gaston M (by Grannus)/Hansueli Sprunger/SUI and the advanced (S) level dressage horses Traston (by Traumdeuter) and Chateau Paradise (by Continue).



The licensed stallions Sir Nymphenburg I and II (by Sir Donnerhall I) as well as Felice (by Diamond Hit) also descend from the dam line.
