For the fifth time in a row, Balou du Rouet is amongst the world's best show jumping and eventing sires, ranking fifteenth and eighth respectively (according to the WBFSH ranking) - perfectly evidenced by the team silver medallist at the Olympic show jumping competition in Tokyo/JPN, Baloutinue/Laura Kraut/USA, the individual bronze medallist at the European Eventing Championships in Avenches/SUI, Corouet/Sarah Bullimore/GBR, and the team gold and individual bronze medallist at the European Young Riders Eventing Championships in Vilamoura/POR, Balento C. S./Emilie Conter/BEL.

Over 70 of his offspring are successful in 1.60m show jumping competitions. This means that Balou du Rouet has long been heir to the throne of his famous father, the Olympic and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet. Amongst his successful offspring are the individual World Championship and European Championship team bronze medallist as well as World Cup eighth-placed show jumper Bianca/Steve Guerdat/SUI and the European Championship team gold and silver medallist and individual ninth-placed eventer Billy the Red/Kristina Cook/GBR.
